Affordable Housing Project Griffin Green Officially Opened

Affordable housing project, Griffin Green was officially opened on Wednesday, July 31 with CEO of Argyle Housing, Carolyn Doherty and Griffith City Mayor Doug Curran both in attendance.

Griffith City Council and Argyle Housing have announced the official opening of Griffin Green, an innovative affordable housing project.

This development is the result of a successful collaboration between Griffith City Council, Argyle Housing and the Australian Government as part of the Building Better Regions Fund.

The official opening event took place onsite on Wednesday, July 31 at 2:30 pm.

This significant initiative encompasses 20 townhouses and 42 build-ready lots, aiming to provide quality housing solutions for the Griffith community and address the urgent need for affordable accommodation in the area.

Griffith Mayor Doug Curran said he was thrilled to see Griffin Green come to fruition.

“It’s a testament to what can be achieved when government, a community housing provider and the community work together for a common goal,” Mayor Curran said.

“The official opening of the Griffin Green Affordable Housing portion of this project is a chance for us all to celebrate the positive impacts this collaboration will have on our community now and into the future.”

CEO of Argyle Housing, Carolyn Doherty said they were proud to announce the official opening of Griffin Green.

“This project represents a crucial step towards ensuring that everyone in our community has access to safe and affordable housing,” Ms Doherty said.

“Griffin Green is not just building, it’s about creating a healthy and supportive community for all.
