Pet owners are urged to take advantage of the Animal Welfare League NSW Animal Care Truck when it visits Griffith.

The Animal Welfare League NSW will visit Griffith with their Animal Care Truck to offer Mobile Vet Services on Tuesday, August 15 August between 9 am and 1 pm.

Funded through the NSW State Government, the Animal Welfare League aims to visit multiple NSW regional communities to provide vaccinations, microchipping, and health checks for all companion animals within those communities.

In addition, they aim to assist pet owners with their pet’s ongoing health and enhance their animal care awareness.

The Animal Welfare League NSW is collaborating with Griffith City Council and local veterinary centres to create better responsible pet ownership outcomes across the Local Government Area (LGA).

Griffith Pet owners are encouraged to attend the event to take advantage of the Mobile Vet Services on offer, which include:

  • Free health checks;
  • Free microchipping;
  • Free dog c3 vaccinations; and
  • Free cat f3 vaccinations

Due to the expected high demand, we ask Pet owners to abide by the following:

  • Maximum of 3 animals per household;
  • Cats must be in carriers;
  • Dog must be on a lead;
  • Bring a mobile device with you to sign in; and
  • Be patient and prepared for the weather as waiting lines can be long.

The event will be held at the Griffith Showgrounds, Murrumbidgee Avenue. Griffith Pound & Rehoming Centre staff advise that microchipping, vaccination, desexing and health checks are key to responsible pet ownership and reducing the burden on our Pound & Rehoming Centre and our affiliated Rescue Groups.
