Griffith families are invited to visit the city’s newest playground, Borland Leckie Park situated on Erskine Road in West Griffith.
It includes play equipment, seating, mature trees, shrubs, sitting wood, sandstone logs and an accessible footpath.
Input from the community at a public consultation guided the the playground’s design.
The construction of Borland Leckie Park was made possible by a $95,460 grant from the NSW Government's Infrastructure Grants Program and approximately $100k from Griffith City Council.
Griffith Mayor, Doug Curran was delighted to see the transformation of the previously overlooked area into a vibrant hub for families.
“Borland Leckie Park reflects our commitment to providing quality spaces for West Griffith residents to enjoy," said Mayor Curran.
“The Park addresses a need for engaging places in the area and it's great to see the end result.”
