Casella Family Brands is currently celebrating the fifth consecutive year at the top of The Wine Intelligence Global Brand Power Index (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022).

That’s right, the Australian family-owned wine brand [yellow tail] remains the world’s Most Powerful Wine Brand.

[yellow tail] claimed the number 1 spot, followed by Casillero del Diablo at number 2, with their brand power index scores well clear of all other wine brands.

The brand has achieved a top ten ranking in 10 markets; with it’s strength in the US market the key to cementing its number 1 global ranking.

General Manager Global Marketing and Export Sales at Casella Family Brands, Libby Nutt believes the continued success of [yellow tail] can be attributed to the brand’s strength of connection with consumers worldwide.

“We’re delighted [yellow tail] has retained its position as the world’s most powerful wine brand,” Ms Nutt said. “There is no doubt that COVID-19 has caused huge disruption across the wine industry, but during this time, [yellow tail] benefitted from a consumer shift towards tried and trusted brands.

“As the industry begins to stabilise, we’re proud the brand has maintained a positive connection with consumers. “This fantastic achievement is a testament to everyone who works on the brand across the globe.

“I want to thank the individuals involved for the continued hard work, commitment, and energy they bring to [yellow tail] every day.”

The Wine Intelligence Global WIne Brand Power Index 2022 measured perceptions of over 25,000 wine consumers in 25 markets, representing over 400 million wine drinkers globally.

The Index incorporates consumer feedback on key brand health measures.

An index is calculated at a global level and at a country level across 25 key wine markets.

From humble beginnings in 2001, [yellow tail] has grown to be one of the world’s leading and most recognisable wines.

Today, [yellow tail] is made by the sixth generation of the Casella family at the family-owned winery in Yenda. It accounts for 17 per cent of all exported Australian wine, according to The Australian and New Zealand Wine Industry Directory, Winetitles Media 2021.
