It is spring in Griffith - and that can mean just one thing - it is time to celebrate the sunshine and sea of colour that is Griffith Spring Fest.

The city’s flagship festival runs from October 8 to 22 and features the eye-catching Real Juice Company Citrus Sculptures display, six vibrant gardens created by talented locals and a whole host of other exciting experiences.

The Lynx Launch Party on October 13 will officially kick off the Spring Fest at the Griffith Tourism Hub Car Park where you can indulge in local food, wine and beer while enjoying the entertainment by the sculptures.

Banna Avenue will be a sea of orange, with 60 unique sculptures welcoming visitors over two weeks.

Witness the remarkable display made from over 100,000 locally grown oranges and grapefruit, by wandering through the sculptures.

You might even see a talking robot, a reclining chook, a horse and cart or a giant giraffe.

Be sure to share your experience by tagging @griffithspringfest and using #griffithspringfest.

This year, locals and visitors are invited to join in the 31st celebrations of open gardens and experience what each garden has to offer.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery and stunning gardens on a bus tour from the Griffith Tourism Hub.

A light lunch is included with the bus tour.

Griffith City Council’s Event Coordinator, Izabella Apolloni said the abundance of events offered something for everyone.

“We are excited to have Griffith Spring Fest back so we can celebrate this beautiful time of year in our city,” Ms Apolloni said.

“The Spring Fest events showcase all of the really great things our region has to offer.’

The annual Multicultural Festival on October 14 will commence at 10:30 am in the Memorial Gardens.

Celebrate the many diverse cultures that make up the Griffith community with cultural performances and delicious foods from around the world.

Griffith Mayor, Doug Curran said he was keen to see the city come to life next month.

“I’m looking forward to having the citrus sculptures go up again, they are an amazing spectacle,” Mayor Curran said.

“I thank the six locals who are throwing open their gardens.

“They should be extremely proud of what they have created and their generosity in sharing them is greatly appreciated.

“If you can, please support this great event, it is events such as this that enhance our City and improve liability.
