Changed Traffic Conditions On Kidman Way, South Of Hanwood

Single lane closures and reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place while essential maintenance is undertaken at the bridge over Benerembah Channel about 10 km south of Hanwood.

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on Kidman Way for bridge maintenance work near Hanwood.

Urgent essential maintenance is being carried out on the bridge over Benerembah Channel, about 10 kilometres south of Hanwood near the Kidman Way intersection with North Kooba Settlers Road, to provide a safer and stronger bridge for motorists.

Work will be carried out between 6 am and 6 pm on weed days from Monday, August 26 to Friday, September 6, weather permitting.

Single land closures and reduced speed limit of 40 kilometres per hour will be in place during working hours.

The bridge will reopen to two-way traffic outside of work hours with a reduced speed limit of 60 kilometres per hour.

Motorists are advised to allow an extra five minutes travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control for the safety of workers and motorists.

Traffic control will assist over-sized vehicles through the work area.
