Community organisations are encouraged to apply for funding in the next round of the ClubGRANTS program which opened Wednesday, March 1.
Each year, local clubs fund projects, services and programs that benefit their communities.
ClubGRANTS are currently open to Category 1 services, which include community welfare and social services, community development, employment assistance activities, or other projects to improve the living standards of low-income and disadvantaged people.
Manager of Griffith Leagues Club, Anthony Lico said community, sporting and cultural organisations were the lifeblood of many communities.
“ClubGRANTS aims to fund programs which support community welfare and social services, community development, employment assistance activities, community health services and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low-income and disadvantaged people,” Mr Lico said.
“Griffith Leagues Club is pleased to be able to work with Griffith Exies and Coro Club to support these vital organisations and programs.”
Manager of Griffith Exies, Garry Tucker said ClubGRANTS funding was designed to give community organisations a boost when and where it was needed most.
“Supporting the local community is a priority for the Griffith Exies and the ClubGRANTS is a fantastic way for us to give something back to the organisations and groups who need a hand to support Griffith residents,” Mr Tucker said.
“I would encourage community, sporting and cultural organisations to log on to griffith.nsw.gov.au/clubgrants to view the eligibility criteria and to prepare an application.”
Manager of the Coro Club, Jason Torresan said he was delighted to be part of the ClubGRANTS for 2023.
“It is a priority for the Coro Club to invest in the local community through providing financial support and ClubGRANTS is one way we can support local orgnisations who deliver essential services to Griffith,” Mr Torresan said.
“I would like to encourage all eligible organisations to consider what projects and services they could provide to the community and lodge a grant application.”
The ClubGRANTS program opened on March 1 and will close on June 30, 2023.
