Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) has encouraged the local community to complete a quick, anonymous health survey.
MPHN’s Health Needs Assessment survey will help provide a valuable snapshot of health needs in the Murrumbidgee.
MPHN CEO, Melissa Neal said more information about community health needs, specifically from underrepresented groups, was needed to provide a complete health picture of the region.
“We want to make sure our Health Needs Assessment data is an accurate reflection of the health needs, challenges, and experiences of our entire community,” Ms Neal said.
“That’s why, in particular, we’re asking males, veterans, parents and carers, the LGBTQIA+ community, First Nations peoples, young people and multicultural communities to let us know their thoughts about their own health and health in their communities.”
The Health Needs Assessment allows respondents to share their insights into the health and wellbeing of their community and advise MPHN of the challenges they experience when accessing healthcare in their local community.
“We’re hoping many people from our different communities will complete the survey so we can gain a fuller picture of our region’s health needs which will inform our decisions to better meet the needs of our communities.”
