Cosentino Returns To Griffith
Internationally acclaimed illusionist and magician, Cosentino brings his latest show to Griffith Regional Theatre on Thursday, November 24.
The International Magician of the Year will appear in Griffith as part of his latest show touring around the country.
That’s right, Cosentino will return to our fair city after almost a decade-and-a-half.
“I haven’t been there since 2008; many, many moons ago when noone knew or cared who I was,” Cos said.
“I’m looking forward to coming back to Griffith.
“I have really great memories from my visit to Griffith and I made some really good friends who I am still friends with now.
“It’s very exciting.”
More exciting, for the rest of us, is the renowned illusionist’s latest show.
Cos urged people to come along and watch the show live because there was something about watching live that was really powerful.
“They see my show on TV or watch it online, but you can always justify it when you watch it online,” he said.
“When you come and see the show live, you hear people gasping and you hear people laughing.
“When I call people up on stage and I read their mind, they’re like, how does he know that?
“I literally saw children in half and put them back together again.”
You will see magic and illusions, where people appear and disappear with hyper-visual imagery, death-defying escapes and the intricate magic of close-up sleight-of-hand.
Cos said the death-defying escapes were dangerous.
“These are real locks, real chains, real life-threatening acts, and real insurance,” he said.
Cos brings all of his own equipment, stage props and lighting in the semi-trailer he and his team travel in.
This latest 90-minute show, Deception will see Cos perform those death-defying escapes that send chills down your spine, mind-boggling stage illusions and cutting-edge street magic that seem to twist your view of reality.
So, contact the Griffith Regional Theatre and arrange your ticket to see Cos live and in spectacular colour on Thursday, November 24.
As an aside, this once reluctant young reader has also written a series of comic books for other reluctant young readers.
“If you had told my 12-year-old self that I would be writing books when I grew up, I would have said, “No, I won’t be”,” Cos said.
“The sixth book is coming out soon.
“The books are aimed at 8 to 12-year-old reluctant readers.
“My mother taught me to read with a magic book.”
