Council Invites Businesses To A Free Planning Workshop

Griffith business-woman Rebecca Crombie will facilitate the free business Planning and Strategic Thinking Workshop on Thursday, June 13 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm.

The Griffith Business Survey 2023 highlighted a strong demand for business planning training among local businesses.

With this in mind, Griffith City Council has invited all local businesses to participate in a free business Planning and Strategic Thinking Workshop.

Hosted by facilitator Rebecca Crombie, the workshop aims to equip attendees with essential skills to develop comprehensive business plans and foster strategic thinking.

The free workshop will be on Thursday, June 13 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at the Gem Hotel Function Centre, 207 Banna Avenue.

Attendees will delve into key topics including:

Crafting comprehensive business places encompassing solutions, unique value proposition, competitive advantages, target markets, goals and pricing strategy;

Strategic thinking methodologies, utilising practical tasks and templates;

Setting achievable action items and timelines;

Budget preparation to support the business plan.

Mayor Doug Curran said he was proud to see the local businesses were eager to grow.

“The Griffith Business survey showed a clear need for business planning training, and in response, Griffith City Council is pleased to offer this amazing opportunity,” Mayor Curran said.

‘This workshop promises to be incredibly beneficial for businesses, providing them with the skills to craft comprehensive business plans, foster strategic thinking and set achievable items and timelines that help them to adapt to ever-changing markets.”

Facilitator of the workshop, Rebecca Crombie is the founder of Crombie Accounting, a reputable Griffith-based accountancy firm established in 2021.

With over 18 years of industry experience, Rebecca, a certified accountant and registered tax agent, brings a wealth of knowledge in business planning and strategic management.
