Griffith Black & Whites are counting down to their 100-year celebration weekend.

Griffith Black & Whites Rugby League Football Club is now counting down to their Celebration of 100 years of Rugby League in Griffith.

The reunion weekend promises to bring a huge number of former players and officials and their family members from four States to gather in Griffith for the three days of planned activities.

The weekend kicks off with a meet and greet at the Southside Leagues Club from 6 pm on Friday night, June 3.

During this catchup, the Football Club will launch their book - 100 Years of Rugby League in Griffith.

Saturday’s morning of golf, which will see former footballers display their acquired golfing skills at the Griffith Golf Club, has already been booked solid.

The reunion dinner to be held on Saturday night, in a giant marquee on the Southside Leagues Club training oval, is now a sell-out with close to 390 people expected to attend.

Dave Trodden, Chief Executive NSW Rugby League, will be attending and the Club looks forward to having a couple of players from the 1958 and 1961 Group 20 Grand Final Premiership sides joining the festivities.

Overall, there will be former players from sides that played during the late 1950s, plus those that played during the many years following, picking up a few Group 20 Premierships along the way.

These former players will look forward to watching Griffith Black & White Panthers take on Yenda Blueheelers on Sunday, June 5 at Solar Mad Stadium.

These two teams will meet in the Challenge for the Inaugural Noel Gale Centenary Cup.

See Rugby League at its best, proudly supported by Griffith Leagues Club.
