Darlington Point Hosts Beginner Skate Workshops And Roller Disco

Darlington Point’s youth are in for some great school holiday fun, with beginner skate workshops and a roller disco.

Murrumbidgee Council has announced it will present free roller discos at the next school holidays funded by the NSW Government Holiday Break Program.

Young people 11 years and under will enjoy an hour-long roller disco from 11 am to 12 noon, followed by those 12 years and over roller dancing from 12:30 pm to 2 pm on Wednesday, April 24 at the Murrumbidgee Shire Hall.

The beginner skate workshop has limited places.

Inexperienced skaters are encouraged to attend this workshop where they will learn to stop, how to move forward and how to fall safely.

This beginner course is suitable for ages 5 to adult.

Participants can cut some great shapes on the dance floor and show off their skating prowess.

Skaters are encouraged to wear their favourite disco attire.

All participants are encouraged to take along a pair of socks and any safety equipment they may need, such as a helmet.

Free rental skates are available, but participants are welcome to take along the skates.

Just leave the rollerblades at home.

Children under five years of age in the skating zone must be accompanied by an adult.

Registrations are essential and places are limited.
