Deadline For Australia Day Award Nominations Extended

Griffith City Council has extended the closing date for the Australia Day Award nominations, so you have one more week to do your part to see that the person you think deserves recognition gets it.

All nominations must now be submitted by 4 pm on Friday, December 8.

The Australia Day Awards are an opportunity to show our appreciation for those in the Griffith Local Government Area for their efforts in the following categories:

• Citizen of the Year;
• Young Citizen of the Year (Nominees must be under 25 years as at January 26, 2024);
• Environmental Citizen of the Year;
• Young Environmental Citizen of the Year;
• Community Project of the Year;
• Sportsperson of the Year;
• Junior Sportsperson of the Year;
• Sports Team of the Year; and
• Club Person of the Year.
