Director Of Business, Cultural And Financial Services Resigns

Griffith City Council has advised that Steve Saffioti, the Director of Business, Cultural and Financial Services has resigned.

General Manager Brett Stonestreet extended his best wishes for Mr Saffioti’s success in future endeavours.

“It is with great regret that I advise that Mr Steve Safioti, Director of Business, Cultural and Financial Services has tendered his resignation effective immediately,” Mr Stonestreet said.

“Steve commenced in the Director role during December 20 22 and has made a commendable contribution to Griffith City Council.

“From his first day on the job, Steve was resolute in providing well-researched and accurate financial information towards the case for a Special Rate Variation.

“Steve was responsible for several facilities including the Griffith Regional Theatre, Griffith Aquatic Leisure Centre, Griffith Library, Pioneer Park, Griffith Regional Art Gallery and Griffith Regional Sports Centre.

“Steve worked closely with the managers of each of these facilities to ensure our community enjoy using these excellent venues.”

Mr Stonestreet thanked Mr Staffioti for his significant contributions.

“Steve leaves Council with my sincere best possible wishes and thanks for a job well done Council will shortly commence the recruitment process to replace Steve in this important role and in the interim Ms Vanessa Edwards, Manager of Finance will be Acting Director,” Mr Stonestreet said.
