Don’t Miss Nancy Blumer & OS Butler Memorial Quest

The Nancy Blumer & OS Butler Memorial Quest will take place at Griffith Regional Theatre tonight, Friday, September 1 from 7 pm.

This prestigious competition is put on by the Music Club of Griffith to give young musicians and vocalists an opportunity to perform on a real stage before a real audience.

It is a competition, though, they are also performing for an adjudicator who has a specific list of qualities they are looking for in the performance.

Those qualities include things like vocal technique, the ability to perform what is written on the sheet music that they supplied prior to the competition night, stage presence, projection, and more.

It can be a nail-biting experience for the contestants and their music and singing teachers.

There are over 11 cash prizes to be won, but one of the greatest benefits for those brave enough to compete is the feedback they receive from the adjudicator, someone who is not known to them personally.
