Fancy A Cuppa For A Cause?

Wednesday, August 30 marks National Meals on Wheels Day.

Over the years, Meals on Wheels Griffith has hosted their annual Cuppa for a Cause to raise funds for those in need while bringing communities together.

Things changed a little when COVID hit and social gatherings were not permitted, but the team was determined to continue the fundraiser and try to maintain a sense of community connection, so they delivered the cupcakes.

This year, they will be delivering decadently delicious cupcakes baked by Vaccari’s Bakery from Monday to Thursday, September 4 to 7.

They will be at the Banna Avenue kiosk, next to Commonwealth Bank, on Friday, September 8.

Meals on Wheels Griffith has grown to become a driving force of care in the community over the past six decades.

In the course of a year, more than 14,000 Meals on Wheels NSW volunteers deliver over 4.5 million meals to around 10,500 recipients in both regional and metro areas.

The community’s support is necessary if they are to continue the important services they provide, so make sure you order a cupcake for a cause.
