Pinnacle HPC Accountants have been chosen to take part in the Federal Government’s Career Revive pilot initiative.

The business is one of 10 regional Australian businesses chosen to boost women’s participation in the workforce.

Female representation is important in helping people get back into work and rebuilding the economy in the wake of COVID-19.

The program is designed to enable women to reenter the workforce after having a baby or having barriers that may restrict them from coming back to work, such as having sick parents or being unwell themselves.

Pinnacle will be offered specific guidance on how to improve business practices and policies, and develop a tailored action plan to address barriers to attracting and retaining skilled women who have been out of the workforce for an extended period.

When meeting with Ms Ley on Monday, their team explained how they will be supplying realistic and imaginary scenarios to the research team every month as part of the program. They will meet within the community with other businesses to analyse their return to work and management and support systems.

Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Women Marise Payne, said the government is committed to boosting women’s confidence when returning to work, as well as supporting businesses to retain skilled women workers.

“This initiative is one of a range of measures under our 2018 Women’s Economic Security Statement, which invested $119.2 million to improve women’s workforce participation and economic security,” Minister Payne said.

“Our $240.4 million 2020 Women’s Economic Security Statement further builds on the 2018 measures and complements the Government’s JobMaker Plan. We know that when women do well both professionally and personally, our economy and nation prospers.”
