Yenda Diggers Club will host the last COG Meeting for 2023 on Wednesday, November 1.

The final Community Opinion Group (COG) meeting will take place Wednesday, November 1 at the Yenda Diggers Club from 7 pm.

As usual, residents are invited to head online to form.griffith.nsw.gov.au/Forms/COGS and complete the submission to ensure that items they want to discuss are added to the agenda.

Agenda submissions for the next meeting must be lodged by 4 pm on Thursday, October 27.

Griffith Mayor, Doug Curran said the Council would present a number of items and address any questions from the community submitted for the agenda.

“I’d urge interested residents to take the time to submit their own items and come along,” Mayor Curran said.

“We will be presenting an update on what the proposed Special Rate Variation (SRV) is up to.”

A report will be presented to the Council Meeting on October 24 so they should know what direction Councillors have chosen to pursue by the COG Meeting.

COG meetings have demonstrated the Council’s ongoing commitment to open and transparent consultation and gives the community an avenue to connect with Councillors and senior staff.

Meetings for 2024 will be announced early in the New Year.
