Finals cricket is set up after tight and convincing wins

The weekend cricket set up matchings for the Griffith district cricket finals. In first grade, Hanwood took a win for a spot in the quarter final with 8/154 in a tight match with Coro Club Cougars who were all out for 153.

Ex-Servicemens Diggers were 8/213 before the end of overs, defeating Ex-Servicemens Eagles who managed 94.

Next week’s quarter final sees Leagues Club Panthers take on Hanwood, and Coro Cougars against Ex-Servicemens Diggers in the elimination final.

In second grade matches, Coly Nomads will face Coro Club Cougars in the quarter final next week, after defeating Ex-Servicemens Diggers 97 to 92. Coro Club Cougars beat Ex-Servicemens Eagles 86/3 to 8 in another slim victory.

Ex-Servicemens Diggers will face Hanwood in the elimination after their loss and Hanwood’s win over Leagues Club Panthers 8/96 to 93.

Leagues Club Panthers will take on Ex-Servicemans Eagles in the third grade quarter final next week after Leagues beat Hanwood 135 to 100.

Coro Club Cougars will take on Coly Nomads in the elimination after Coro’s convincing win of 4/203 at the end of overs to Ex-Servicemens Diggers’ 128. Coly beat the Ex-Servicemens Eagles 9/117 (cc) to 91.
