The last twelve months have been challenging for primary producers and small businesses.
With the impacts of 2022’s flood events on production and sales, many business owners are feeling apprehensive about the future.
The Rural Financial Counselling Service will host a free workshop in Wagga, RFCS NSW Navigate Your Farming and Small Business Natural Hazards, on Friday, May 12.
Attendees will learn how to assess, navigate and mitigate financial risks associated with natural hazards.
This interactive workshop will help you understand risks associated with your local natural hazards, learn the risk management process, utilise risk management tools and understand the importance of incorporating risk management into business planning.
It will provide you with the skills and knowledge to identify and evaluate your risks and access to support to integrate risk management into your business planning, setting your business up for the long term.
Delivering the workshop, David Brown, PhD, of David Brown Consulting is an experienced agricultural and risk management consultant with extensive experience facilitating community-based workshops as well as lecturing in agribusiness management at Charles Sturt University.
Invest in the future of your business today so you’re prepared when the next natural disaster hits.
To register for the free workshop, email communications@rfcsnsw.com.au then arrive at 8:15 for an 8:30 am start.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
