Each year, the Griffith Country Music Muster Association holds a muster at the Coro Club on the last Sunday of March, May, July, September and November from 1pm to 5pm.

Each muster has a feature artist, the club band Recycled and walk-ups.

An entry fee of $15 for non-members and $10 for members is collected at the muster and the proceeds are presented to local charities.

Cheques totalling $4000 were presented to local charities at the muster on March 28.

Members of the GCMMA and patrons who attend the musters nominate charities to receive donations.

This year’s recipients were Griffith Parkinsons Support Group, Carevan, Griffith Prostate Cancer Support Group, Cure for Cystic Fibrosis, Griffith Breast Cancer Support Group, CanAssist Griffith, Motor Neurone Support Group Griffith and MIA Branch of MS Australia.

The GCMMA was first formed and incorporated in 2007 as the brainchild of the late Ron Pattison and Koala Jones.

There is plenty of local talent, and rising talent out there, so if you’d like to help this group increase their giving capacity make the time to rock up to one of their musters. It’s fun for a good cause.
