Glow2680 and Rotary Christmas Carnival Set To Light Up Griffith Again

The Christmas season will kick off next Friday, December 1 with the Glow2680 and Rotary Christmas Carnival at Memorial Park.

Residents are invited to kick off the festive season with the return of the Glow2680 Launch and Rotary Club of Griffith Christmas Hams Carnival on Friday, December 1 in Memorial Park.

Rotary’s popular chocolate wheels will start spinning from 5:30 pm. You can purchase tickets to win hams and other fantastic prizes. Create lasting memories as you stroll through the stunning light displays, officially switched on from 7:30 pm.

The evening will include live entertainment, face painting, a jumping castle, a sausage sizzle, ice cream, fairy floss and coffee.

An array of fun craft activities to keep the kids entertained will be delivered by Griffith City Library staff and members of the Youth Advisory Group (YAG).

Griffith Mayor Doug Curran said it promised to be an event not to be missed.

“The Glow2680 launch and Rotary Christmas Carnival is always a great night out for families,” Mayor Curran said.

“Santa will be stopping by as well, so make sure you come along to Memorial Gardens on Friday 1 December and kick off the Christmas season with your family and friends.”

The Glow2680 Christmas campaign also includes the Star Shopper Competition, the Glow2680 Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, December 2, Christmas Late Night Shopping and pop-up markets on Thursday, December 7, the Glow2680 Giving Trees Appeal, Carols by Candlelight on Sunday, December 10 and the annual Christmas Light Competition.
