Another successful Glow2680 Star Shopper campaign has come to a close. Griffith City Mayor Doug Curran was delighted to draw the Star Shopper winners on Tuesday, December 19 just in time for Christmas.
“I’d like to thank everyone involved in the Star Shopper Campaign,” Mayor Curran said.
“It has been another really worthwhile undertaking in that we’ve seen plenty of shopping being done locally in the lead up to Christmas.
“The aim was to get people to shop here in town and I’d like to thank all those who did.
“Local businesses employ local people and they support many sporting and community groups. “Shopping locally keeps money circulating in our local community.”
The Star Shopper campaign is an initiative of Griffith City Council, with thousands of entries received and over 30 stores participating this year.
As part of the push to encourage local shopping, a sidewalk sale was held on December 2 and Christmas Late Night Shopping on December 7.

First prize $500 voucher went to Sukhdev Singh who shopped at The Athlete’s Foot.
