Paul Pierotti resigns his position of Griffith Business Chamber President at the upcoming AGM.

After three decades, President of Griffith Business Chamber, Paul Pierotti has decided to hang up his hat and pass on the baton.

He will resign the position of Chamber Executive President at the upcoming AGM and said he would also not throw his cap in for Vice President.

Mr Pierotti has been an active and senior member of Griffith Business Chamber for over 30 years and advocated for the business community and became the leading voice on issues ranging from Water, Housing Transport, Education, Health, Infrastructure and the Workforce Crisis.

“Our community has faced countless issues in this time and each have brought their own set of challenges that affect our business community,” Mr Pierotti said.

“You need an organisation such as Chamber to advocate and lobby on behalf of businesses.

“We’ve built a strong member base and have become influential with key stakeholders at all levels of Government.

“Behind the scenes can be taxing, however, I am privileged to have played a key part in bringing about change.

“It hasn’t been easy, but very rewarding.”

Griffith Business Chamber has been known to be controversial, but Mr Pierotti has no regrets.

“Yes, I’ve asked the tough questions, demanded transparency, made headlines - but have always acted in the best interest of our business community.”

The long-term sustainability and future of Griffith has always been at the forefront of Mr Pierotti’s mind.

Mr Pierotti also founded Our Future is Local which became the motto for Griffith Business Chamber.

“As the business world changed around us, we had to remind everyone of the importance of buying local, support local jobs and learn and adapt to a new way of being in business,” he said.

With a new era emerging and a new set of opportunities and challenges on the horizon, Mr Pierotti is optimistic about the future of Griffith.

“I encourage people to consider becoming part of the Griffith Business Chamber Executive team at the upcoming AGM,” he said.

“There’s a great deal of opportunities that we can harness, but we need motivated, passionate people to steer the ship.”

The AGM will take place on Thursday, October 20 at Griffith Southside Leagues Club at 6 pm.
