Griffith City Library Gets Into The Christmas Spirit
Griffith City Library has loads of activities to keep everyone entertained in the lead-up to Christmas.
It’s going to be a very Merry Christmas at the Griffith City Library this year, with a host of activities planned to get everyone in the spirit.
Griffith City Library Acting Manager, Chris Robson said there was something for just about everyone.
“On behalf of the team here at the Library, I want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas,” Mr Robson said.
“We have lots of activities and events planned.”
Griffith City Library has a special mailbox that goes directly to Santa a the North Pole.
Children are invited to write their letter to Santa and drop it in the special mailbox.
If they make sure they include their full name and address in their letter, Santa has assured library staff that each child will receive a personalised letter in return.
The library elves have also been busy decking the halls in readiness for the season and visitors can take advantage of the stunning Christmas backdrop for photo.
A special sensory Christmas photo session will be held on Monday, December 12.
Camera House Griffith has made longer photo session times in a quiet environment without the long queues and no Santa.
Tickets are limited and must be booked via wrl.eventbrite.com.au. People will receive a free digital version of the photo.
A special Rhyme Time with Santa will take place on Tuesday, December 13 at 10 am where children will get to meet Santa after singing and dancing to Christmas songs.
Storytime with Santa will follow on Wednesday, December 14 at 10 am. On Tuesday and Wednesday, December 20 and 21, those looking for something creative to do can design a Christmas-themed tote bag at 10:30 am.
