Griffith City Library Overflows With Holiday Fun

Don’t worry if you haven’t had a chance to organise anything for the school holidays, Griffith City Library has done all the planning for you.

Parents across the city can breathe easier knowing that Griffith City Library has a fantastic lineup of fun activities to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays.

__Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12 __

Children can let their imaginations run wild in the library’s LEGO room, open daily between 10 am and 4 pm.

Tuesday, July 9

Drop into the library anytime between 10 am and 12 noon and relax while your child crafts their own crown.

They can choose between a paper plate crown and a wire and felt crown.

Wednesday, July 10

Kids will experience traditional dances and participate in cultural workshops designed just for them between 10:30 am and 1 pm.

Thursday, July 11

Children can mix their imaginations with their artistic ability to create a scratch art masterpiece to take home.

This activity will be available between 10 am and 12 noon.

Monday, July 15 to Friday, July 19

Tech-kids can enjoy a week of gaming fun in the Nintendo Room, open daily from 10 am and 4 pm.

Tuesday, July 16

Kids can decorate a photo frame with colourful buttons and other materials between 10 am and 12 noon.

Wednesday, July 17

Youngsters will enjoy a Bluey’s Day, with crafts, balloons for Keepy Uppy and screenings of Bluey in the library’s theatrette from 10 am to 12 noon.

Avid fans can feel free to wear their favourite Bluey costume.

Thursday, July 18

Your pre-teens can create playful, modern bean and seed mosaics with bright shades of paint.

Bookings are required for this workshop, which is strictly for children between 8 and 12 years of age.

As well as all of the fun, practical activities, children will have the opportunity to watch a selection of movies over the course of the fortnight - Monday, July 8; Friday, July 12; Monday, July 15 and Monday, July 19.

Movies commence at 11 am and bookings are required.
