Griffith Show A Huge Success
Ah, the exhilaration of being caught between terror and delight.
Thousands turned up to the 100th Griffith Show last weekend for one huge day of fun and excitement.
There was everything from carnival rides, sideshow activities, and show bags right through to a derby demonstration, freestyle motocross and show jumping.
A wide range of competitions, from lego constructions to preserves and arts and crafts were on display.
Of course, what is the Show without that finger-licking dog on a stick and the spectacular fireworks display?
Member for Murray, Helen Dalton was on hand to assist in awarding Annette Coates, Brett Brown, Kel Williams and Rhonda Blenkiron with their lifetime membership awards in recognition of their years of voluntary service to the Show Society.
Young Woman of the Year went to Samantha Taylor who will go on to represent Griffith at the regional zone.
