Griffith will play host to the next in a series of freight forums being held across the State on Friday, November 4.
NSW Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, the Honourable Sam Farraway will discuss programs and initiatives focused on improving freight in and around Griffith and the greater Riverina region, including current and future priorities and investments with industry stakeholders, including Griffith’s own freight operators.
The forum will bring attention to key topics for the region, including a focus on improved access for road and rail freight, upgrades to key freight routes, including rest stops, rail connectivity to the port and supporting the regional economy with the freight task.
A question and answer session with the Minister and Transport for NSW representatives will be included in the forum, which will take plact at Griffith Exies from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The aim of these consultations is to strengthen freight operations across the State and reduce the cost of living for families. Registrations close on Sunday, October 23.
