Griffith Women’s Open Results

Forty seven women competed for prizes in the Griffith Women’s Open on Wednesday, May 12 at the Griffith Golf Club. Local competitors welcomed visitors from Coleambally, Finley, Hillston, Leeton, Narrandera and Wagga.

Elizabeth Graham took home the Ebert Cup with 88. The division 1 scratch winner was Elizabeth Graham with 88, and Narrandera’s Sameera Bashir took scratch runner up with 91.

Stroke - handicap winner ws Dee Sparks from Leeton with 75 and handicap runner up was Jenny Thomas C/B with 77. Division 2 18-hole winner was Christine Morrison C/B 35 from Leeton. Stableford 18-hole runner up went to Susan Tyrrell with 35, 2nd runner up Bruna Ross with 33 and 3rd runner up Shirley Carter C/B with 32.

Division 3 18-hole winner was Robyn Hoare with 38.

Stableford 18-hole runner up went to Eleanor Hankook with 31, 2nd runner up Kath Gulliver with 30 and 3rd runner up Dulcie Knight with 29.

NTP division 1 went to Janelle Sullivan from Leeton.

NTP division 2 went to Debbie Heath of Coleambally.

NTP division 3 went to Robyn Kefford.

Sue Peters from Wagga went home with the Visitor’s trophy, with 31.

The Vet’s trophy went to Dorian Radue with 32.

Senior Vet trophy went to Kathy Kings with 31. The Team trophy went to Elizabeth Graham, Lyn Hedditch and Sameera Bashir, with 96 points.
