Griffith’s Biggest Lap Stops Traffic

There were 310 cars lapping Banna Avenue last Saturday night.

There were even more people lining the street cheering them on, snapping photos, taking videos, calling out and having a grand old time.

Lappers played it up, revving their engines and waving to the crowds.

There was even a motorcycle rider dressed as Pokemon.

The kids went wild.

It was great fun, but it was fun for a good cause.

As with many of the enjoyable events in Griffith, this one was for charity and they managed to raise $25,000.

The money will be split equally between Riding for the Disabled Association and Can-Assist.

The generosity of Griffith residents and car enthusiasts is what makes events like this one so successful.
