Griffith’s Newest Festival Groove And Graze Kicks Off Next Month

Griffith’s Groove and Graze will rock the community on its axis, with a fantastis lineup of artists include Reece Mastin.

Get your groove on and prepared to be blown away by Griffith’s newest one-day musical event - Groove & Graze Festival on Saturday, March 18.

The day will kick off at 3 pm with both national and local bands set to take the stage at the Burley Griffin Community Gardens Tickets are on sale now.

Made possible by the NSW Reconnecting Regional NSW - Community Events Program and Griffith City Council, the music festival promises to be a great day out for the entire family.

Event curator, Pristine Productions, has created a fantastic lineup featuring Reece Mastin and Mahalia Barnes and The Soulmates, as well as local performances by Lolohea Brothers, Fates Babies, DJ Lady Barber and the Griffith Musicians Club “Supergroup”.

Much loved Australian actor, comedian and musician, Marty Fields will be emcee for the evening.

Versatile and charismatic, Fields will keep the crowd entertained. Mayor, Doug Curran said he was lookinig forward to the event and urged locals and visitors to take the whole family along for an evening they wouldn’t soon forget.

“It’s great to see this event supporting the music and entertainment industry, combining both national and local performers,” Mayor Curran said.

“This will be an incredible all-age event and I encourage you to get your tickets fast.”

Headline act, Reece Mastin captured the nation’s heart at the tender age of 16 when he won X-Factor in 2011.

Since then he has morphed from teen pop idol to rock’n’roll young gun with two Platinum Number 1 albums and three consecutive chart-topping singles.

Mahalia Barnes, daughter of Aussie icon Jimmy Barnes, has been in and around music her entire life.

Together with The Soulmates she has released three albums and several EPs along with touring nationally and internationally.

The event will include plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained as well as food trucks, coffee, icecream and donutes to keep everyone fed.

There will be a bar for the over-18 crowd, but ID will be required. Grab your chairs and picnic rugs and don’t forget your tickets.

They are just $10 a pop - under 18s get in free but they must still register their attendance.
