Griffith’s Star Shopper Competition Kicks Off

Support Griffith businesses by shopping locally this Christmas and be in with a chance to win some nice prizes for your efforts - that is The Star Shopper Competition.

This annual competition kicks off again on Monday, November 4 and continues until Thursday, December 12.

Star businesses are all signed up, with their stars visibly displayed - all shoppers need to do is spend $15 or more at a participating store to receive an entry to the prize draw.

First and second prizes are a $500 and $100 voucher respectively, to be used at the businesses you supported on your shopping spree.

Mayor Doug Curran said shopping played a vital role in sustaining the community’s economy.

“This initiative keeps money in the community and supports our local businesses,” Mayor Curran said.

“I encourage everyone to show their support by shopping at participating Star businesses this Christmas.

“It’s a great way to spread Christmas cheer while giving back.”

Visit any business displaying the Star Business sticker or poster, to enter the competition. For every purchase of $15 or more, shoppers will receive an entry form - one per spend.

Winners will be drawn on Friday, December 13, just in time for Christmas.

For those tight on time, the Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, December 7 is a perfect opportunity to get all your Christmas shopping done.

First prize is a $500 voucher and there are five $100 vouchers to be spent at participating Star businesses as second prize. Happy shopping.
