Happy 70th Wedding Anniversary To Ross And Joyce

Well respected community stalwarts, Ross and Joyce Catanzariti celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on January 20, 2021.

Ross and Joyce are very well known in and around the city and are acknowledged as beloved icons.

They started out from humble beginnings and during their marriage the Catanzaritis created a successful, well known family business through their hard work and efforts. They are a well-respected and much-loved couple in the Griffith area thanks to their generous contributions, links to other businesses and broad social connections.

Ross and Joyce owned Rossies Food-works from 1966 to 2017 and prior to this ran a small fruit shop, Broomes Fruit and Veg. Joyce recalls working long hours to keep the store running and that the children were looked after by Ross’s mother. Ross’s cousin who is also named Ross Catanzariti still remains the manager of Rossies Foodworks today.

Mr and Mrs Catanzariti are now both enjoying their retirement and still reside in Griffith.

Ross has been a keen jogger and walker. In 2016, he completed in the Sydney City to Surf. He also enjoys a game of golf and snooker.

Joyce enjoys her own “little loves”, reading, crosswords and up until recently cooking and gardening.
