Griffith residents are invited to help shape the future of the transport network for the region.

Would you like to help shape the future of the transport network across the region?

Here is your opportunity.

Duty MLC for Murray, Wes Fang said Transport for NSW was preparing an Integrated Transport Plan to guide transport planning over the next 10 years.

“As part of the development of this plan we need to understand and investigate improvements to the transport network that meet the needs of the community now and into the future,” Mr Fang said.

“Community feedback will help us ensure the plan is best placed to support economic growth and future transport needs, improve safety and accessibility, and provide more reliable journeys and better-connected transport services for the community of Griffith.

“The ultimate aim is for the plan to deliver a high performing, well integrated and efficient transport network.”

Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, Sam Farraway said the plan will focus on key areas such as roads, freight movements, active travel, public transport, parking and public spaces.

“Like with other regional transport plans across the state this plan will be designed to evaluate current infrastructure and help us plan how we improve infrastructure and services for now and into the future,” Mr Farraway said.

“This is about identifying what our Government, Griffith City Council and other key stakeholders can do better to improve transport in and around Griffith, whether that be new or improved infrastructure, or better public transport options to make daily life easier.

“We need the community’s feedback about what matters most to them to ensure we understand how we can improve the transport network.”

Community feedback on the general accessibility and connectivity of the transport network across Griffith can be provided to Transport for NSW until Friday, December 9.

Feedback can be submitted at yoursay.transport.nsw.gov.au/griffithitp, via email SouthProjects@transport.nsw.gov.au, or by post at Griffith Integrated Transport Plan project team, PO Box 484, Wagga Wagga NSW 2650.
