IPART Seeks Feedback On Council’s Special Rate Variation Application
Griffith residents have until March 18 to have their say about the Council’s Special Rate Variation Application.
Griffith City Council’s Special Rate Variation submission is now available for review with public submissions welcome to be made directly to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART).
IPART has advised it will receive public submissions until March 18, 2024.
The team at IPART considers every submission it receives before making any decisions.
You can complete a survey or submit feedback via IPART’s website at www.ipart.nsw.gov.au.
For those people who need assistance, verbal submissions can be made to a staff member of IPART.
You can also email or mail your submission, attaching a completed cover sheet, to IPART.
Email to ipart@ipart.nsw.gov.au or mail to Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal, PO Box K35, Haymarket Post Shop, NSW, 1240.
Griffith is one of nine NSW councils to have applied to IPART to increase their income from rates by more than the rate peg through the special variations process.
The other councils are Blayney Shire, Goulburn Mulwaree, Kempsey Shire, Narrandera Shire, Randwick City, Snowy Valleys, Tamworth Regional and Willoughby City councils.
Council applications are assessed against six criteria and all feedback received from stakeholders.
