Library Courtyard Gets Facelift

Library-goers are invited to check out the newly revamped courtyard at Griffith City Library.

Thanks to new seating, umbrellas and turf, the courtyard has become a bright and funky outdoor area where visitors can sit and read, enjoy a coffee or even have lunch this summer.

Griffith City Library Acting Manager, Chris Robson said the Council’s Urban Design team had helped make the space more inviting.

“We have introduced some outdoor furniture to bring a bit of life and colour to a previously underutilised courtyard space,” Mr Robson said.

“I think everyone will agree it’s now an area that more people can enjoy.”
