How long have you lived in or around the Griffith area and what do you like most about living here?
Nineteen years. I love the people. I love the atmosphere of Banna Avenue, the shopping. There are so many different cuisines to try here. You don’t have to drive too far. You can get a park right out front of where you’re going. I come from the city, so I appreciate all those things.
Where do you work and what do you like most about what you do?
I’m a dog groom and run my own business, GTown Dog Groomer. I absolutely love what I do and I don’t consider it work. I work seven days a week. Four years ago I thought I’d just give it a go and I absolutely love it. So after four years of working two jobs, I can now groom full-time thanks to the help of some good people who helped me to create my grooming room.
How do you unwind when you’re not working or on weekends?
I watch a bit of TV, catch up on things around the house, and go for lunch or dinner with friends if I have the time.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
I would like to create peace, to stop all the greed and discrimination. That’s what I want. Especially with what’s going on overseas at the moment.
What advice would you give to your 13-year-old self?
Appreciate all the little things. Don’t be afraid of change. Dreams can come true if you just have faith in yourself.
Tell us about the best holiday you’ve had to date?
I went to America. I took my son. We travelled from one side to the other. New York was my favourite. It was late January and it was snowing. We went to Central Park at about 11 o’clock at night. There were so many people there playing in the snow. It was just a beautiful experience.
What is an interesting fact about you?
Ooh. I don’t know. I really don’t have any interesting facts.
