Murrumbidgee Council Hosts Flood Recovery Hub At The Point
Residents of Darlington Point are invited to Murrumbidgee Council Chambers on Wednesday, November 7 for help accessing services you may need following recent flooding events.
Murrumbidgee Council will host a Flood Recovery Hub in Darlington Point on Wednesday, December 7 to help local residents, rural landholders and businesses access support services following the recent flooding event.
Murrumbidgee Council Manager of Economic Development and Tourism, Kellie Dissegna said the hub would be a one-stop shop for locals and businesses to access a range of assistance and support services.
“Additionally, Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is bringing a number of different specialities, including Aboriginal Health, Mental Health and Health Disaster Management,” Ms Dissegna said.
“We have also been able to secure a Japanese Encephalitis vaccination clinic through MLHD.
“We will provide more details about how to book in for the clinic when available.
“For any businesses that are unable to make it on Wednesday, Enterprise Plus will be available in the Council Chambers on Monday, 12 December from 10am to 3pm.”
The event will take place at Council Chambers on Carrington Street between 10 am and 6 pm and no registration is required.
Agencies represented on the day include Rural Financial Counselling Service, Service NSW, Resilience NSW, Legal Aid, National Emergency Management Agency and Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
