Murrumbidgee Council will host two events as part of NSW Small Business Month for 2023 on the topics of cyber security and stress management.

The first event, a free workshop for businesses based on cyber security, will take place on Wednesday, October 11.

Murrumbidgee Council’s own IT consultant, Veritech Corporation’s Livio Mazzon will run the workshop, providing small businesses with the knowledge and resources to ensure they run cyber safely.

The workshop will be delivered face-to-face for businesses at Darlington Point Council Chambers with an option for Jerilderie businesses to view from the Jerilderie Council Chambers.

If stress management is what your business needs, you and your staff can take up the second free workshop on Wednesday, October 18 at Jerilderie Council Chambers.

Presented by Aimee Makeham, Coordinator with the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP), the workshop will provide information and insight into business-related strategies to manage stress and ways to take action.

Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how business stress impacts people and their community and where to find support.

A light lunch will be provided and a free five-minute neck and shoulder massage will also be available to attendees.
