Murrumbidgee Council Seeks Feedback On Proposed Speed Limit Changes
Have your say about proposed changes to speed limits on parts of Jerilderie Street (Newell Highway), Sturt Highway and Kidman Way.
Murrumbidgee Council has reached out to the community asking for feedback on proposed changes to speed limits on parts of Jerilderie Street (Newell Highway), Sturt Highway and Kidman Way.
The changes are aimed at enhancing safety for all road users.
As part of the survey, residents will be asked specific questions about any incidents they may have witnessed or experienced on those roads.
The evidence will help Council understand community sentiment and support for efforts to improve safety.
Evidence of people’s experiences is essential as the roads are managed by Transport for NSW and the decision to proceed with changes rests with the Department.
Murrumbidgee Mayor Ruth McRae emphasised the importance of community participation in this initiative.
“We urge all residents to contribute to this survey,” Mayor McRae said.
“Your feedback is crucial for us to fully understand the sentiments in our community regarding road safety.
“By sharing your experiences, you provide us with the evidence we need to advocate for these important changes.
“Every voice matters.
“The more responses we receive, the stronger our case will be when we present our findings to Transport for NSW.
“Together, we can make our roads safer for everyone.”
Access the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PSF85Z6 or visit Council offices or Jerilderie Library for a hard copy.
The survey will take around five minutes to complete and will remain open until 5 pm on Friday, December 13.
