Murrumbidgee Council Welcomes New Residents

New residents of Darlington Point, Coleambally and Jerilderie are invited to free barbecue events to get to know and connect with their neighbours.

Murrumbidgee Council will host a trio of free barbecue events for residents who have moved to the area in the past two years.

Local service clubs, volunteer groups and sporting organisations are urged to get involved and promote their group and perhaps gain some new members.

Any groups interested should contact the Economic Development Manager on kellied@murrumbidgee.nsw.gov.au or 1300 676 243.

Dates for the welcome events are:

  • Thursday, November 16 from 5:30 pm at CWA Park, Carrington Street, Darlington Point;
  • Wednesday, November 22 from 5:30 pm at Luke Park, Powell Street, Jerilderie; and
  • Wednesday, November 29 from 5:30 pm at John mcInnes Square, Brolga Place, Coleambally.
