Murrumbidgee Council celebrated a huge win recently, with a brand new drone package valued at $30,000 thanks to Statewide Mutual and AVCRM.

Council’s winning entry was chosen from among 26 other submissions.

The prize comprised equipment, training, licensing and governance, which Murrumbidgee Councillors believe will be a tremendous asset to their organisation with widespread uses across many areas of the Council's operations.

AVCRM’s Chris Clark congratulated Council for engaging in new technology when presenting the new drone and said he looked forward to assisting them to get the most out of this new capability.

Council entered a competition that has been running for a few years now in which they submitted a short description detailing what new and innovative ways Council could use drones in the workplace and how that use would, in turn, benefit the organisation.

A judging panel chose Murrumbidgee Shire Council’s entry as the winner based on who they decided would most benefit from the prize package.
