Murrumbidgee River In Minor Flood At Darlington Point
The Murrumbidgee River is currently in flood making it necessary to close the caravan park until further notice.
Murrumbidgee Shire Council has advised that, due to flooding of the Murrumbidgee River, the Darlington Point Boat Ramp, floating pontoon and access road are closed.
The caravan park is also closed until further notice. People are urged not to try entering the caravan park.
Should you find it necessary to view the river in flood, you are advised to do so by parking at Fig Tree Park (Stock Street).

People are urged to stay out of rising water, and seek refuge in the highest available place to avoid drowning.
Move vehicles under cover away from areas that are likely to flood to prevent damage.
Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains to avoid being swept away.
Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous so avoid walking, riding or driving through flood waters.
