MyLi Candles Has The Aroma Of Success

With a decade in business just around the corner, MyLi Candles has launched a new website in time for Mothers Day.

It seems quite fitting that owner Alison Thomas acknowledges the support and encouragement from her own mother, Teresa DiFiore at this special time of year. “Mum’s been with me since day dot,” Mrs Thomas said.

“She’s been a huge support. I couldn’t have done it without her.”

Mrs Thomas had no idea just how necessary that support would be when she first took on her little candle-making hobby.

“It was just a home hobby,” she said.

“I had my children and it was something to do.

“I just made gifts for my family and friends.”

Well, those family and friends showed off their little treasures and MyLi Candles was born in 2012.

“Without their encouragement I wouldn’t be here today,” Mrs Thomas said. “We try to make it as easy as possible for customers to shop.

“People don’t realise how versatile we are.”

With the launch of her new website, Mrs Thomas is hoping that the online side of her business will begin to grow.

The website makes it possible for people with little time to shop to do their browsing and ordering online, with the option to click and collect or have their purchases delivered.

Delivery is offered free of charge within the 2680 postcode area.

All Mothers Day gift packs are listed on the website, and come complete with a voucher for a free refill.

“Refilling is a really big part of our business,” Mrs Thomas said.

“All MyLi candle glassware is refillable.”

A special Mothers Day giveaway worth $195 is also on offer, with Mother’s Day purchases receiving an entry into the draw. MyLi Candles will be open tomorrow from 9:30 am to 2 pm for last minute Mothers Day shopping.
