The 2021 season is predicted to be fantastic, following a fantastic sign-up day. It was a great get together to rally spirit before the season starts later this month. Former NRL Newscastle Knight, Griffith McDonald’s franchisee and sponsor Matt Gidley dropped by to offer his support to our players and help launch into practice sessions.

Club President Lindsay Flack said they provide a family-friendly environment while helping children remain active and fit.

His belief is that by getting parents involved in the club then the children are more likely to enjoy their time with the club.

“Being part of a team builds life skills and resilience in children and helps them build confidence, communication skills, and knowing the importance of teamwork that will assist them in life,” said Mr Flack.

While it was a forecast of young talent being nurtured, the continuous and obvious need for referees highlighted.

Referee training courses are scheduled across the region ahead of the 2021 season, with an NRL accredited session on a Griffith Southside Leagues Club on Tuesday, March 23 at 6 pm.

Registrations are still welcome. Get in touch with the club by emailing waratahtigerjuniors@gmail.com or calling 0412 560 672.
