New Return And Earn Facility Making A Difference

Griffith’s new automated bulk-processing Earn and Return facility on Lenehan Road has been gratefully received by residents eager to cash in their cans and bottles.

The bulk-processing facility was designed to quickly process up to 100,000 containers daily.

Operated by St Vincent de Paul Society of NSW and Return and Earn network operator TOMRA Cleanaway, this facility marks the first depot of its kind for Griffith, but St Vincent de Paul’s ninth in the State.

Since the Return and Earn scheme launched six years ago, St Vincent de Paul Society jumped on board eager to provide easy and convenient access for communities to return their eligible bottles and cans for the 10-cent refund.

The partnership with Return and Earn provides Vinnies with an important revenue stream, which supports the Society’s programs and services that help people experiencing poverty and disadvantage.

The depot is open between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm from Monday to Saturday.
