Official Opening of the outdoor pool

The official opening of the Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre’s 50m outdoor pool was celebrated last Wednesday.

Member for Farrer Sussan Ley, Griffith Mayor John Dal Broi and Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke marked the closure of the $7.9 million project together. “Redeveloping and building first-class facilities like the Aquatic Centre is good for the community,” said Mrs Ley.

Griffith Mayor, Councillor John Dal Broi thanked both the State and Federal Governments for the contributions, along with staff and the contractors for assisting to bring this project to reality.

“I think we can all agree that the new 50m pool is a valuable asset to our community,” said Councillor Dal Broi.
