Griffith parents can rest assured when their children get home from school today, Friday, June 30 that an exciting range of activities has already been organised to keep them entertained and socially engaged.
From educational workshops to thrilling performances, there is something for every child to enjoy.
Griffith City Library has stepped up to provide fun-filled activities including free movie screenings.
Little ones can enjoy special free movie screenings on Mondays and Fridays both holiday weeks (Monday, July 3 and 10 and Friday, July 7 and 14) and allow their imaginations to soar.
ARIA award-winning children’s artists, Teeny Tiny Stevies will perform at Griffith Regional Theatre, embracing creativity, trying new things and having fun.
Family Fun Land has a range of exciting activities planned daily to keep the kids entertained.
They can get creative rock painting on Monday, explore mask-making and decorating on Tuesday, discover the magic of sand, glitter and scratch art on Wednesday, create balloon masterpieces on Thursday and indulge in Lego workshops on Friday.
Griffith City Cinemas has a lineup of great new movies suitable for children of all ages, including Carry On Jatta 3, Cats in the Museum, Elemental, Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse and The Little Mermaid.
Get the kids to pull on their skates, or rent a pair, and head to the Griffith Regional Sports Centre on Thursday, July 13 for the Glow Roller Disco.
Skate your way around to live music from local DJs and enjoy delicious snacks at another free event.
The Cat in the Hat will visit Griffith Regional Theatre on Saturday, July 15 at 10:30 am.
Gather the whole family for a lively adaptation of a timeless classic. Young artists can also explore their creativity at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery on Sunday, July 16.
Tambourine Art Studio will host painting workshops where participants will have the opportunity to paint a beach scene inspired by Ken Done’s masterpiece, Playing the Beach.
The workshop will be divided into two age groups - 6 to 12-year-olds from 10 am to 11:30 am and 13 to 18-year-olds from 12 noon to 2 pm.
When the weather permits, don’t forget to encourage the kids to take advantage of the great outdoors.
