In honour of NAIDOC Week, Griffith Regional Theatre is offering discounted tickets to anyone purchasing before 10 pm this Sunday, July 14. The discounted price of $20 is less than half price.

Griffith Regional Theatre presents the riveting play The Visitors by Muruwari playwright Jane Harrison on Thursday, August 15 at 7:30 pm.

It was awarded Best Mainstage Production and Best Ensemble at the 2023 Sydney Theatre Awards.

Theatre Manager, Margaret Andreazza said the play reimagined the arrival of the First Fleet from the First Nations perspective.

“It is a powerful piece of storytelling skillfully navigating Indigenous perspectives on Australia’s colonial past,” Ms Andreazza said.

“For this week only, during NAIDOC Week, we are offering discounted tickets to the performance of The Visitors - tickets are only $20 if purchased before Sunday, July 14 at 10 pm.

“That’s more than 50 per cent discount.

“We’re sure this play will be captivating and insightful.

“The novel version of The Visitors won the 2024 Indie Book Debut Fiction Award and the production continues to receive 5 and 4-star reviews.”

Co-produced by Moogahlin Performing Arts and Sydney Theatre Company, The Visitors is at once a riveting, deeply researched insight into one of the most impactful and painful days in Australia’s history, and a hugely entertaining study of how communities respond to change and the unknown.

As part of their membership benefits, 2024 Theatre members can take a friend for free to the show on August 15.

They are encouraged to call the Box Office to secure their tickets.

Patrons can also take advantage of the Limone dining pre-show dinner for an additional fee.
