New garden beds planned to beautify Banna Avenue.

Garden beds will form part of Prods Straight, Banna Avenue, after negotiations between Griffith City Council and Transport for NSW to ensure the state-owned road was well maintained.

Transport for NSW has committed to helping enhance the aesthetic appeal and safety of Banna Avenue by contributing to the cost of maintenance of the garden beds.

Mayor Doug Curran said the collaboration acknowledged the importance of public spaces and their impact on the well-being of residents.

"It’s good to see Transport for NSW has come on board to help improve these garden beds," Mayor Curran said.

"We recently heard loud and clear that the community want to see this area maintained and where possible improved.

“These garden beds are part of the State Road network so we have worked hard to get them on board to improve the beds.

“This collaboration is a testament to the power of working together for a common cause.

“The revitalised gardens will make the street more appealing."
